Ziyafat to Aqa Moula (TUS) By Madaris Imaniya, Mombasa
Precious gems were showered. Innumerable blessings were poured. Countless tears of joy were shed as it was a day greater than Eid, higher in stature than any celebratory occasion. It was a day of Ziyafat for the little ones and their educators. No measure of gratitude or words can suffice the priceless barakaat that was received.
Chants of Moula! Moula! Moula! Reverberated in Evan-e-Mohammedi as our Ruhani Bawasaheb Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (TUS) arrived aloft a miyano carried by children and khidmatguzaro at the seafront bethak by 9.45 a.m. The theme of the ziyafat was on ‘Writing of Asharah Waaz ‘as mentioned by Moula (TUS) during Asharah Mubaraka, 1430H in Mombasa . Open notebooks and pencils were used as the decoration for the backdrop.
Over 400 children from Al-Madrasatus Saifiyahtul Burhaniyah and Madrasa Burhaniya with their teachers had gathered at the hall where Moula (TUS) graced the occasion. Some members of the Education Board and PTA members were also in attendance.
Commencing with Ilmana moti Jaro.. by Madrasa Burhaniyah, it was followed by MSB students expressing shukur to Moula (TUS) for permitting them to jot down points from the noorani Asharah waaz. Surely many students had actually put pen to paper and had listened attentively with their ears and made sure as Moula (TUS) had mentioned no important word was missed out. True to this, the students’work was on display and Moula (TUS) personally glanced at their waaz notebooks. Excerpts from students ’work were also put up on a softboard.
Based on ‘Ridhaho Ahle Rasuli ... Qasida, Madrasa Burhaniyah young ones recited the pure names of Panjatan Pak (AS), Imamo , Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA) and Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) while MSB students joined in to elaborate on the Qasida with ‘Ridha’and ‘Matlubi’as key concepts.
Before addressing the blessed gathering, Moula (TUS) observed from left to right and then centre. In flowery language, Bawasaheb addressed us as the scented flowers of the garden .He invited us to come and have a look, “Have a look at me!”He emphasized. Mentioning that He was our father, nay our grandfather, His comforting words reminded us that He had raised us in his cradle, that our tarbiyat had come to pass under His watchful eye.
Labelling this day as an Eid Day, even greater than Eid, Moula (TUS) brought us to tears by saying we had come with zeal and deep concern, that we had won His heart and pleasure as Sikandar Badsha had done.
Praying for the children, he wished them success in examinations. Firing our imagination, he said even in success, we should remember Moula (TUS). Elevating us further, he praised us for carrying out Rasulullah’s farizat ofacquiring ilm. Huzure ala (TUS) advised students to do tasbih and freeze what is learnt in the mind as everlasting memory. Aiming at the learning process, Bawasaheb asked children to imbibe learning in the best way. Let the method of delivery be correct and an imani environment prevail. On cultural preservation, He hoped “What is ours should remain ours” and that our places of Iman must be jealously guarded. Expressing His desire, he said he wanted to see children to be brought up in the way He desires.
Emotionally overwhelmed, Moula (TUS) recited the shahadat of the 6 months little soldier, Moulana Aliasgher (AS). Enumerating three excruciating circumstances at that time- thirst, heat and arrows, the gathering broke into purjosh matam.
Delighted at the children’s zeal and passion to partake of these blessings, Moula (TUS) welcomed them again and again. He advised that Ya Syeda Shohadahi be oft recited and even committed to memory. “Let the eyes of your parents be cooled and let Moula (TUS) be pleased with you.”
Sherbat wadhawanu rasm was conducted and thereafter Qadambosi took place. The gathering dispersed by noon when Moula (TUS) was ascended in a miyano destined for Qasr Mubarak. There a privileged few got the sharaf of serving lunch to Huzure ala (TUS). May Allah Subhanahu bless our beloved Aqa Moula (TUS) with sehat and afiyat till the Day of qiyamat. Ameen.
