Aqa Moula’s Istiqbal at MOI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Mombasa

Thousands of mumineen from East Africa had gathered at the airport, patiently awaiting the istiqbal of Aqa Moula (TUS) in Mombasa as from
2.00 p.m.

Moula (TUS) arrived by Air India flight at the airport at around 3.15 p.m.

Raised aloft a miano and sheltered from the sun with a bright red umbrella, Huzurela (TUS)stepped onto a stage that was decorated with a green background and a backdrop of Burhani masjid with a seafront view and flags of Ya Hussein, Dawat’s and Kenya fluttering. The words ‘Hubulwatan Minal Iman’ (Love For our Motherland is a part of faith –Rasulullah Peace Be Upon Him) were written clearly on the backdrop.

The District Commissioner (D.C) Mr. Hassan Abdi, the Provincial Commissioner Mr.Ernest Munyi, the Deputy Mayor Mr. Gideon Munga’ro, Kisauni M.P.Hon. Ali Hassan Joho, Minister for East African Community Hon.Amason Kingi were all present to receive Moula (TUS).

Starting with ‘Inafatana Lakafatan…’ recitation by Shz. Husseinbhai Saheb,the gathering listened with rapt attention as Moula (TUS)appeared clam and divine dressed in pure white and with a brown shoulder shawl.
Sherbat Wadhawanu Rasm followed and then the D.C. on behalf of the government inivited Syedna to Kenya. The Deputy Mayor on behalf of the Mayor welcomed Moula (TUS) to Mombasa sincerely and speaking in Kiswahili- Kenya’s National language said Karibu Sana (Most Welcome)

The Honouranble Minister appreciated that Moula (TUS) had graciously accepted the invitation to Mombasa and said that the President had just flown into Mombasa to meet up with His Holiness. He said he will meet Moulana one-on-one and he hoped he will tap into his wisdom and blessings. He reiterated the fact that he was touched and humbled by His Holiness’ presence. He believed that Moula’s prayers had helped in the healing process after the post-election violence and that the Dawoodi Bohras had been in the forefront of helping the victims of the post-election violence.

The M.P. for Kisauni speaking in an Arabic-Swahili tone said that we are all children and we need your blessings. Chanting “Takbir, Takbir,Takbir!” he welcomed Moula (TUS).
Aqa Moula (TUS) in his address said that he was here for the third Asharah after a span of 14 years. Noting the ikhlas and muhobat of tearful mumineen, he said their tears were the najwa they were offering Moulanal Min’am. He prayed for the country’s and the world’s peace and tranquility to prevail.
All rising up, the gathering recited the National Anthem at 4.30 p.m. with the Aga Khan band playing the tunes.
